 Nature Walk - Nature Symphony

Card 1

The Paper:

• Basic White Thick Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
• Basic White Cardstock: 3-5/8" x 4-7/8", scrap
• Night of Navy: 2" x 4" 
• Nature Walk Designer Series Paper (DSP): 3-3/4" x 5"
• Crumb Cake Cardstock: 1-3/4" x 3-1/2"
• Balmy Blue Cardstock: 5-1/4" x 4"

Stamps, Dies and Ink:

• Nature Symphony Bundle
• Balmy Blue Classic Stamp Pad
• Crumb Cake Classic Stamp Pad
• Night of Navy Classic Ink Pad

Other:

• Multipurpose Liquid Glue
• Stampin' Dimensionals
• Faux Bronze Pentagons
• Secret Sea 3/8" Bordered Open Weave Ribbon, 10" - 12"

Instructions

• Take the Basic White Cardstock layer and stamp the texture image down the right-hand side using various strengths of ink. Do this by not always reinking the stamp before restamping. This is called stamping off.
• Center the DSP on the front of the card and adhere.
• Die cut the leaf image from the white layer and adhere it to the card front.
• Die cut the large leaf from Balmy Blue Cardstock. Trim the leaves from the left-hand side. Adhere to the card front with the larger part pointing upwards.
• Take the wood bark die and cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock. Lightly blend on some Crumb Cake Ink.
• Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the wood bark die cut. Take a short length of the Secret Sea ribbon and fold it to form loops. Adhere it to the Dimensionals on the back of the die cut, then adhere the die cut to the card front.
• Use the smallest leaf die to cut two sets from Night of Navy Cardstock. Adhere behind the wood bark element.
• Take the leaves you removed from the Balmy Blue die cut earlier and add part of those behind the wood bark element as well.
• Stamp the sentiment "You Make me Smile" on Basic White Cardstock with Night of Navy Ink. Cut around the sentiment with scissors and adhere to the top of the wood bark element.
• Add Faux Bronze Pentagons to finish.

Card 2

The Paper:

• Crumb Cake Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
• Crumb Cake Cardstock: 2" x 4"
• Very Vanilla Cardstock: 2@ 4" x 5-1/4"
• Very Vanilla Cardstock: 2" x 4"
• Nature Walk Designer Series Paper (DSP) script pattern: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" vertical
• Nature Walk DSP green pattern: 8" x 5-1/2"
• Natural Hues Textured Specialty DSP darkest pattern: 4" x 5-1/4"

Ink, Stamps and Dies

Instructions

 

• Take the script paper and rip off the top and the bottom. For specific directions as to how to get the white edge when ripping, watch the video. 
• Add Crumb Cake Ink to the edges of the DSP layer (script pattern) with a Blending Brush. Repeat with the strips you tore off this time adding the Crumb Cake Ink to the reverse side (grid pattern).
• Add the smaller torn strips to the top and bottom of the card front, grid side facing up and torn edges outwards, using the larger piece of DSP to gauge placement so that the top layer will overlap with both torn strips.
• Add the larger piece of DSP to the card front, covering part of both torn strips. Be sure the script pattern is right-side-up.
• Use the larger leaf die to cut one set of leaves from the darkest sheet of the Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper. Crumb Cake Cardstock would be an acceptable substitute for Specialty Paper.  Add Crumb Cake Ink with a Blending Brush. Adhere in the middle of the card.
• Cut two more sets of leaves with the same die from Nature Walk DSP (green pattern). Adhere one on top of the leaves already on the card front.
• Take the second set of green leaves and trim off a section. Adhere pointing to the bottom right of the card.
• Take the wood bark die and cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock. Lightly blend on some Crumb Cake Ink.
• Trim the wood bark die cut so that it's slightly narrower and it fits the sentiment better.
• Take a short length of the Early Espresso Linen Thread, tie a double bow, and adhere on the reverse of the wood bark die cut. 
• Add the wood bark die cut over the top of the leaves using Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Use the smallest leaf die to cut two sets from Very Vanilla Cardstock.
• Lightly blend on some Crumb Cake Ink. Adhere, tucked under the wood bark die cut, one pointing up and one pointing down.
• Adhere the sentiment banner.
• Add Faux Bronze Pentagons to finish.

Card 3

The Paper:

• Very Vanilla Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
• Very Vanilla Cardstock: 2@ 4-3/4" x 4-1/2"
• Very Vanilla Cardstock: 3/4" x 2-1/4" (label)
• Pretty Peacock Cardstock: 3@ 3-3/4" x 1-1/2"
• Pretty Peacock Cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4"
• Nature Walk DSP pattern (Cloud Cover/Old Olive/Pretty Peacock mix)

Ink, Stamps and Paper:

• Nature Symphony Bundle (Dies and Stamps)
• Old Olive Classic Ink Pad
• Pretty Peacock Classic Ink Pad

Other:

• Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread Pack
• Faux Bronze Pentagons

Instructions

• Adhere the three DSP pieces to the Pretty Peacock mats.
• Adhere the three matted pieces to the card front, spacing them evenly.
• Stamp and die cut the two of the leafiest images onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. Make one in Old Olive and one in Pretty Peacock.
• Center the Pretty Peacock image and glue it to the card front. Adhere the Old Olive leaves over the Pretty Peacock leaves. Use glue on the bottom of the leaves and Stampin' Dimensionals at the top.
• Die Cut the largest leaves from Pretty Peacock. Cut off the large section. Only use the small section that is left. Glue it down.
• Stamp the Very Vanilla label piece. Adhere it over the stems with Stampin' Dimensionals. 
• Tie a double bow with Old Olive thread. Adhere it with a Mini Glue Dot.
• Add Faux Bronze Pentagons to finish.

Card 4

The Paper:

• Basic White Thick Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
• Basic White Cardstock: 2" x 4"
• Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/4" x 4"
• Cloud Cover Cardstock: 2@ 5-1/4" x 4"
• Pretty Peacock Cardstock: 2" x 4"
• Nature Walk Designer Series Paper (Cloud Cover/Old Olive/Pretty Peacock mix pattern): 5" x 3-3/4"
• Natural Hues Textured Specialty DSP (darkest): 2" x 4"

Instructions

• Adhere Cloud Cover Cardstock to the card front.
• Take the Nature Walk DSP layer (Cloud Cover/Old Olive/Pretty Peacock mix pattern) and scrunch it up in your hand into a very tight ball.
• Carefully, so as not to rip it, open the crumpled DSP, but don't flatten it completely.
• Lightly blend Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' Ink over the top of the crumpled-up piece with a Blending Brush to highlight the creases even more.
• Run some Stampin' Seal over the back and adhere to the Cloud Cover layer on the card front. Don't add too much adhesive as you want it to look lifted in places. If there are places that look too lifted, Mini Glue Dots can be used to adjust the lay of the paper.
• Cut four 5" lengths of Old Olive Linen Thread. 
• Place some Stampin' Seal in the middle of the card front. Gather the leaves together in the middle and adhere.
• Die cut the larger leaves from Basic White and Cloud Cover Cardstock. Lightly blend on some Cloud Cover ink. Trim off a small section of leaves on both.
• Add adhesive down the stem of the Basic White leaves and adhere to the card front.
• Repeat with the Cloud Cover die cut leaves, adhering them slightly to the right of the Basic White leaves.
• Stamp the smaller leaf image on Basic White Cardstock with the Cloud Cover Stampin' Spot and cut out with the coordinating die.
• Tuck the leaves under the large leaves and adhere with Dimensionals.
• Cut the wood bark die from the Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper (darkest pattern or Crumb Cake Cardstock) and lightly blend on some Crumb Cake Ink. Cut in half length-ways and adhere to the base of the gathered leaves.
• Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock with Pretty Peacock Ink and cut out with the Three Banner Punch.
• Adhere the stamped banner to the wood bark piece, slightly above the top edge.
• Die cut three of the smaller leaves from Pretty Peacock Cardstock. Adhere to the card front, tucked under the elements (one above the sentiment, and two at the bottom left).
• Add Faux Bronze Pentagons to finish.
