Daisy Day Card
Daisies are in bloom all over town today. So, while I'm waiting for mine to bloom, I'll share a daisy card with you.

The paper:
  • Basic White Thick - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored on the long side at 4 1/4"
  • Basic White - a scrap to make the daisy
  • Garden Green - cut with the largest deckled rectangle die or 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Garden Green - a scrap to make the vase
  • Crushed Curry - cut with the second largest deckled rectangle die or 3 1/4" x 4 3/4". Cut this piece in half diagonally from the upper left-hand corner to the lower right-hand corner.
  • Cheerful Daisies Designer Series Paper (DSP) - cut with the second largest deckled rectangle die or 3 1/4" x 4 3/4". Cut this piece in half diagonally from the upper left-hand corner to the lower right-hand corner. Please note that some DSP has a directional pattern. Be sure to cut the rectangle vertically.
The stamping and die cutting:
  • Stamp the leaves and stem with Garden Green ink.
  • Die cut the leaves, stem and flower.
  • Die cut the flower center from either Crushed Curry or Lemon Lolly paper.
  • Die cut the label from Garden Green paper. This will become your vase. Cut one end of the label flat. Then cut a small angle from each of the bottom corners to shape the vase.
Assembling the card:

  • Using scotch tape, tape the bottom left-hand portion of the Crushed Curry paper and the top right-hand portion of the daisy paper together on the back, forming a new rectangle. The other two triangle pieces will not be used for this card.
  • Using multipurpose liquid glue, center and adhere the green mat to the front of your card.
  • Now center and adhere the Crushed Curry/daisy mat to the center of the green mat.
  • Glue the stem on the mat. It will look best if it is straddling the green and daisy portions of the mat.
  • Glue the center onto the daisy.
  • Using dimensionals, adhere the daisy, leaves and vase onto the card.
The extras:

  • Tie a bow with white bakers' twine. Adhere it to the vase using a mini glue dot.
  • Add a brushed brass butterfly to adorn the vase.
  • Add three Lemon Lolly adhesive-backed gems for an added special touch.
