WHALE DONE MY FRIEND!

Isn’t this card the cutest? The wave paper and Stampin’ Up coordinating products make this card adorable!

Whale Done!

Cutting and Dimensions:

Card Base: Pretty Peacock paper 8.5" x 5.5". Score and fold the 8.5" side at 4.25".

Outside layer: Whale of a Time patterned paper (Designer Series Paper) 4" x 5.25"

Banner: Petal Pink paper 2 5/8" x 3 7/8". Cut a shallow triangle from the bottom edge to make it into banner.

Inside Layer: Whisper White 4" x 5.25"

Whales: Punch 3 whales out of vellum cardstock.

Punch another whale out of Pretty Peacock paper. Make the splash from a scrap of Pool Party paper. Make the whale's bottom from a scrap of Just Jade paper.

Sentiment: Calypso Coral paper 3.25" x 1"

Stamping:

Heat emboss the "Whale Done" stamp in the center of the Calypso Coral piece using Versa Mark ink and white embossing powder.

Stamp the bubbles on the bottom third of the banner. Stamp the bottom bubbles with full-strength ink and those above with a lighter strength ink. This is achieved by not reinking the stamp between stamping. You get lighter and darker bubbles this way.

Assembly:

Glue the patterned paper to the card base.

Dry fit the whales (see how they look before gluing) so they are sticking out from behind the top half of the banner, but don't go farther than the edge of the card! Adhere the vellum whales to the back of the banner with mini-glue dots.

Glue the banner to the center of the card front. Do not put glue behind the vellum whales. It would look messy and you don't want that!

Cut a piece of sheer Pool Party ribbon to 8.5". Fold it in half and adhere it to the back of the Calypso Coral piece with a few mini-glue dots. Using dimensionals, attach the whale and banner piece to the card front.

Pop the colored whale up with dimensionals and attach to the top of the banner.

On the inside glue the piece of 4 x 5.5" Whisper White card stock. Stamp with the sentiment of your choice.

Now you have a very cute card to give to someone who has done

something special! Whale done, my friend!
